Oro-Maxillo-Facial Therapy

Oromaxillofacial physiotherapy is a specialized branch of physiotherapy that focuses on the treatment of musculoskeletal and functional disorders of the oromaxillofacial region, including the jaw , face , mouth and cervical region .

Using a combination of manual techniques, specific exercises and educational guidance, physical therapists can help patients reduce their pain, improve their function and regain a better quality of life.

Post-Operative Physiotherapy

Post-operative physiotherapy is a branch of physiotherapy specializing in the rehabilitation of patients after surgery. It aims to restore function, mobility and strength to affected areas, reduce pain and prevent complications, allowing for rapid and effective recovery .

Manual Therapy

Manual therapy is a specialty of physical therapy that focuses on the use of the hands to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal and neuromuscular dysfunctions . It involves manipulation and mobilization techniques aimed at improving joint function, reducing pain and restoring mobility.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is a technique that uses fine needles to penetrate the skin and stimulate myofascial trigger points, i.e. hyperirritable areas in the skeletal muscle, to reduce pain, improve mobility and reduce muscle tension .

Taping

Taping uses elastic or rigid adhesive strips applied to the skin to support muscles, ligaments and joints .

  • Kinesio Taping : Uses elastic bands that mimic the elasticity of skin and muscles. Provides support and stabilization without restricting movement.

  • Rigid Taping : Uses less elastic tapes for firmer joint stabilization

Cranial physiotherapy

Cranial physiotherapy is sometimes misunderstood and associated with controversial beliefs.

However, this method is not limited to manipulating the skull, but rather involves the overall management of the central nervous system, the cerebrospinal fluid, the cranial membranes and their interactions with the rest of the body.

 

It can be used specifically to treat tension headaches, tinnitus, and other facial pains.

Muscle reconditioning

Muscle reconditioning is a comprehensive and individualized process that aims to restore muscle function and improve the quality of life of patients after an injury, surgery or a period of prolonged inactivity.
